Hotel a North Suburbs

“BREAKFAST WAS TERRIBLE. We were there for four nights. Not enough fresh fruit. Oatmeal was gluey, really bad. The "scrambled eggs" - just no. Some kind of pale omelet thing with no cheese - and no description! Mushy potatoes. Soggy muffins. I mean, come on now. It was pitiful. I wouldn't stay here again unless I had to”

“The staff was very friendly and helpful, but overall the hotel felt dated and underwhelming for a property presenting itself as a resort. The rooms were average, and the building itself feels very old with limited renovations. The pillows were honestly some of the worst I’ve experienced at a hotel - very lumpy and uncomfortable, and definitely in need of replacement. Overall, I’d consider this more of a 3-star hotel experience than a true resort stay.”

“Everything was great, although one of the ladies during the breakfast tried to make us pay when breakfast was actually included. We needed up not paying but she kept insisting that we had to.”

“My only issue was with the noise in the morning. Starting at 6am it was doors slamming constantly. Mostly by cleaning staff. Otherwise a great place to stay.”

“I usually enjoy staying at the DoubleTree Hotel and have had great experiences in the past, which is why this visit was a little disappointing. During our stay, the water was turned off, which caused a major inconvenience for us. It made it difficult to shower after our event and get ready for bed. I understand that issues can happen, but it would have been appreciated if there had been better communication before booking or accommodations provided. Hoping future stays are back to the standard...

“The hotel and the room were clean. Hilton properties are always well laid out. That's why I like to stay there. When we checked in they didnt have our reservation that we booked on Expedia, so we had to struggle with finding a number that worked for the hotel to bring our reservation up. My biggest disappointment was the breakfast. The breakfast was supposed to open at 7am and instead didnt open until 710am. There was a group waiting for breakfast to open. When it did open none of the hot...

“I didn't care for the place. The coffee(in lobby only) was horrible! Nothing in the rm., cups, ice bucket etc. The only thing is tissue, that's nice to have. Someone set off the fire alarm at 2am. We all had to get up & the firefighters had to check the building!”
